Congratulations on the birth of your child.
Your child is currently admitted to the NICU. After the birth of your child, you, as a new mother, will need postnatal check-ups, and we can provide that for you.
Our care supporters on this ward are qualified maternity care assistants, and they are here to support you.
What can you expect from us?
- Daily postnatal check-ups once a day for the 8 days after delivery.
- Support in initiating breastfeeding or pumping.
- Advice and guidance for your physical recovery.
What do we need from you?
- Presence in the morning, so that consultations with your midwife can take place if necessary.
- Ensure that you are registered with a midwifery practice and that they visit you during the postpartum week, as they are ultimately responsible for your postpartum care.
